Slide it or take it apart: deciding
The first call sets up the whole move, so make it honestly. You can usually slide or walk a rack in one piece when all of these are true: it is not bolted down, it is going a short distance on the same level, the floor is hard and flat with no thresholds to clear, and you have a second person plus a furniture dolly. In that case you fully unload it, tip it a few degrees onto the dolly with a partner steadying it, and roll it to the new spot.
